Our focus today is wintering songbirds, ducks and geese on the South Platte River in the area south of Overland Pond. Many of the ducks should be easily viewed from trails along the river. Walk mainly over grass and along a paved trail. Be prepared for possible snowy or icy conditions. Feel free to bring a scope or camera.
