Visit the Great Lawn Park at Lowry in early spring to see which birds are lingering or just arriving after the late winter months. There should be a variety of ducks and some passerines hanging in the pond area and along Westerly Creek. Be prepared for a moderate length hike.

Perplexed by Passerellidae? Have we got a little brown job for you! Join us to learn about the sparrows of the Front Range. They can be hard to see but are easy to love once you get over your sparrowphobia. Our Birding Insights workshops are designed to help you delve more deeply into the lives of the beautiful birds of Colorado. Class participants will spend some time looking for sparrows around the Audubon Nature Center and gain valuable skills to assist with identification. Please bring your binoculars.
