Description

Belmar Park includes 3 lakes. At the largest is an island with a cormorant colony and there may also be kildeer or avocet on the island. A Swainson's hawk has nested nearby in the past. Oher birds we might see/hear are Great Egrets, Great Blue Heron, Yellow Warblers, Say's Phoebes, Red-tailed Hawks, American Kestrel, Belted Kingfisher, Red-winged Blackbirds, Song Sparrows. The paths are wide and vary between paved and dirt and the gradient is flat to moderate. There is the option to make the trip longer if individuals wish.
