Summary

Join us for an early spring walk through the unique habitats of the beautiful Fountain Valley Trail and Roxborough’s stunning red rocks. We will look and listen for the early Roxborough spring arrivals, as well as year-round residents. We could see raptors, swifts, woodpeckers, jays, corvids, chickadees, bushtits, nuthatches, bluebirds and other thrushes, juncos, sparrows, and possibly the Canyon Wren. This easy trip is for all levels of birders, and beginners are especially welcome

Fountain Valley Trail, 2.4 miles.  Habitats:  Scrub Oak, Cliffs, Prairie, Riparian Forest

Audience:  All levels

Join us for an early spring walk through the unique habitats of the beautiful Fountain Valley Trail and Roxborough’s stunning red rocks.  We will look and listen for the early Roxborough spring arrivals, as well as year-round residents.  We could see raptors, swifts, woodpeckers, jays, corvids, chickadees, bushtits, nuthatches, bluebirds and other thrushes, juncos, sparrows, and possibly the Canyon Wren.  This easy trip is for all levels of birders, and beginners are especially welcome.  
What to bring:  binoculars, hat, sunscreen, water and a snack if desired.

Meeting Place:  Roxborough State Park Visitor’s Center, 4751 Roxborough Dr., Littleton, CO 80125   Colorado State Park Pass or day pass (fee) required.
