Come to the foothills near Genesee and hike the Beaver Brook Trail on the north side of I-70. We may see or hear various foothills species such as Cordilleran flycatchers, Pygmy nuthatches, hermit thrushes, and red-naped sapsuckers. The hiking will be somewhat challenging, with foothills elevations and some elevation changes.

Come to the foothills near Genesee and hike the Beaver Brook Trail on the north side of I-70. We may see or hear various foothills species such as Cordilleran flycatchers, Pygmy nuthatches, hermit thrushes, and red-naped sapsuckers. The hiking will be somewhat challenging, with foothills elevations and some elevation changes.

 

Meeting Place: Genesee Park - Beaver Brook Trailhead (near the Braille Trail). Take I-70 West to Exit 253 - The Chief Hosa Campground Exit. Go right at the Exit (not left towards Chief Hosa) to the frontage Rd which is Stapleton Rd/Dr. Follow the road around to the left and you'll run into a parking lot on your left.
