Description
Joint Partnership with Evergreen Audubon
Carpool to Mt. Evans to explore all park habitats. Plan to be on top of the mountain at sunrise. Bird the road, Summit Lake, Mount Goliath and Echo Lake on the way down, stopping for breakfast at Echo Lake Lodge. Search for a variety of mountain birds, including white-tailed ptarmigan, rosy finches, peregrine falcon, a large variety of mammals, and wildflowers. Most observation is from the car; some mild to moderate mountain hiking.
