Joint Partnership with Evergreen Audubon
Join us to look for mountain birds and wildflowers on an extended walk with an expert guide. We will drive to the Mt. Evans summit to start our trip and work our way down, making stops to find various mountain species. Be prepared for some higher elevation trail hiking, and bring a snack and water. There will be an option of having lunch at Echo Lake Lodge while enjoying hummingbirds at the feeders. We expect to see a large variety of alpine species.
Meeting Place: Echo Lake Park, 13261 CO State Highway 103 (Squaw Pass Road or Mt. Evans Road) from I-70 (or from CO74 if coming from Evergreen) to the parking area near the stone shelter. Meet by the stone shelter near the restrooms at the picnic area.
Leader: Audubon Master Birder, Marilyn Rhodes, cell 720-333-2551, cloverlane@aol.com.
Registration Required: No fee, but donations to Audubon appreciated. Driving to Summit Lake requires a National Park Pass or a $10 access fee per car.
