Join us for a summer walk through the unique habitats of the beautiful Fountain Valley Trail and Roxborough’s stunning red rocks.  We will look and listen for the many Roxborough spring arrivals, as well as year-round residents

Join us for a summer walk through the unique habitats of the beautiful South Rim Trail and Roxborough’s stunning red rocks.  The August trip will cover the Willow Creek Trail and Iron Bark Drive. We will look and listen for the many Roxborough bird species such as swifts, swallows, flycatchers, bluebirds, jays, wrens, vireos, and warblers.  There will also be hummingbirds, sparrows, goldfinches, and raptors.  We start early to avoid the heat.  This trip is for all levels of birders. Limit to 16. Activity level:  Easy, 2.4 mile hike. 

Meeting Place:  Roxborough State Park visitor center, State Park Pass or day pass required.

Leaders:  Bea Weaver and Ruth Gabreski, Master Birders.

Registration Required:  No fee.
