This is a co-sponsored trip with Denver Field Ornithologists. Click here to view the event registration page.
Belmar is always a treat to bird, with a good variety of habitats and birds. We may see ducks, shorebirds, waders, woodpeckers, a variety of songbirds including some fall migrants, and we'll say goodbye to the swallows as they head south for the winter. Most of the walk is on even ground, but the trails can get muddy and uneven at times. Bring snacks, water, bug spray, a hat and sunscreen for an easy walk around the ponds, and the open grasslands section if we have time. A great trip for beginners!
This trip is led by Shay Lyons.
