Description
This section of Clear Creek, accessed by newly-completed Twin Lakes Park (Adams County), is virtually all riparian and wetland habitat! We continue our Birding Adventure series working our way downstream toward the South Platte, following the meander of the creek as the geography transitions from foothills to plains. We will look for migrants and seasonal warblers, hummingbirds, passerines, raptors, waterfowl and shorebirds. Check the eBird bar chart https://ebird.org/barchart?r=L5707369 We will walk on a paved path and also on dirt trails close to the creek. This trip is rated easy, however we will be doing some bushwacking through the wetland area on generally flat paths. Long pants and good shoes are recommended, sunscreen, hat, water, snack, binoculars, camera if you wish. It may be buggy, flying and crawling types, fyi. There are porta lets at beautiful Twin Lakes Park and plenty of parking.
This trip is led by Linda Purcell.
