Birding Quincy Reservoir (Co-sponsored trip with DFO)
Admission

Location
Description
Let’s go birding at Quincy Reservoir in Aurora! We will look for birds on the reservoir and shores, and in riparian and grassland habitats. Many winter ducks have left but we are likely to see shorebirds, late waterfowl, early migrants and arriving summer resident species.
We will meet at the nearby Grandview Dog Park to carpool to the Quincy Reservoir lot, and can share the $10 vehicle fee for Quincy Reservoir. Our walk will conclude back at the dog park lot. We will walk the 2.5 mile loop around the reservoir, on level terrain, on soft surface trails. Portable toilets are available at the parking lot. Please bring binoculars, water, sunscreen and snacks. Scopes could be helpful if you have one, and the leader will have one to share.
This trip is led by Cynthia Cestkowski.
