Join iNaturalist ambassadors Laura and Melissa for a Bioblitz! The Bobolink Trail is a flat paved and gravel path that runs parallel to South Boulder Creek and adjacent to large meadows. On this field trip, we will be focused on conducting a bioblitz. This means observing birds, plants, bugs, and animals, using iNaturalist to record our observations! Haven't tried iNaturalist yet? Want to get better at using iNaturalist? Love it and want to contribute to community science? This is a great trip for you! We will start together to make sure everyone is comfortable using the iNaturalist app, then split into 2 or more groups to make observations. We'll reconvene at the end to share exciting findings and learn about how to keep contributing! This Bioblitz will be in support of the City Nature Challenge taking place the whole weekend -- which city (globally) will contribute the most observations?! Participants should bring binoculars, have iNaturalist downloaded on their phone and logged in, water and snacks, and sun protection. Participants without the phone app can tag along with others in their group. Cameras can also be a great way to observe (and upload later).

This trip is led by Laura Steadman.
