Description
This trip will focus on the lower regions of this popular spot, hiking park trails along and near Casto Creek, and in the area near the main parking lot. We can hope for a nice mix of forest and foothills species, including Western and Mountain bluebirds, Red-naped and Williamson's sapsuckers, Evening Grosbeak, Brown Creeper and a chance for Am. Three-toed Woodpecker. We may walk about 2.5 miles, mostly on gentle grades, but with some steeper sections, too. Bring snack, drink and good walking shoes. Restroom near the meeting spot at the beginning and part way through our trek.
This trip is led by David Suddjian.
