Join us as we explore the area around the lakes and river at the south end of South Platte Park. Spring migration should bring in swallows, warblers, flycatchers, egrets, sparrows and catbirds. Year around birds include kingfishers, woodpeckers, nuthatches, finches and raptors. The bird walk will be approximately 2 miles on cement and dirt trails with no elevation gain. Muddy conditions may exist depending on the weather. Bring binoculars, water, snacks, sunscreen and appropriate clothing layers. Scopes and cameras are welcome. A vault toilet restroom is available at the beginning of the walk near the parking area. This will be the only available restroom and it will be our first stop once we leave the parking lot.

This trip is led by Julia Gwinn.
