Description
Join us for a weekly walk around Wheat Ridge Greenbelt in pursuit of the area's rich diversity of winter birds! We'll be on the lookout for displaying ducks, nesting cormorants, mixed flocks of geese, raptors, resident kingfishers, and a wide variety of passerines. We'll be using a lot of the identification tips found in the "Habitat Blast: Winter Birds Around Town" BIRD BOMBS episode: https://youtu.be/LtzMi-UeAaQ?si=0CkkmGMCVl21UPdY
Plan for up to 2 miles of walking, mostly on paved paths with some uneven dirt trails. As always, birders of all experience levels are welcome. Bring binoculars, water, layers, and a scope if available (we'll have mine to share, too). There is a porta-potty at the beginning and end of our effort.
This trip is led by Ryan Corda.
