Description
Say goodbye to the ducks! Many of the ducks we've enjoyed all winter will soon be migrating, so let's give them a proper send-off before they leave. We'll walk along the South Platte River in Littleton, beginning at Reynolds Landing, walking north to Watson Lake (a great spot for ducks), then returning back along the same path. We'll also stop into Hudson Gardens where we have a good chance to see Wood Ducks. We'll also look for other resident and migrant birds, such as raptors, herons, woodpeckers, and more. We'll cover about 3 miles on flat, paved or hard-packed gravel trails. Plan to dress for the weather and bring binoculars, water, sunscreen, and a snack. There are restrooms at the meeting place and at Nixon's Coffee House along the way. Feel free to bring a scope if you would like to use one. Beginners are encouraged to join and all levels are welcome!
This trip is led by Cassandra Stroud and Kelly Holar.
