Description
Did you know that an estimated 1 out of every 2 songbird populations are declining across the Western Hemisphere? Because migratory birds travel vast distances between breeding and wintering areas, understanding why populations are declining has been difficult. Erica Robertson will share about the Bird Genoscape Project, which develops genoscapes to connect populations of concern across their full annual cycle. Come hear Erica speak about this incredible project and how the resulting genoscapes can be used to target limited conservation resources where they are needed most. She will also share details about her work with Bank Swallows in connection to this project.
