Summary

A morning walk through one of Denver's top birding hotspots

Description

Let's share a morning of gratitude for the birds and our community of nature-lovers during a morning stroll in Cherry Creek State Park. Songbirds, waterfowl, and raptors are all common. We'll plan to walk slowly on dirt, gravel, and paved trails that are mostly flat. The exact route will be determined by the leader on the day of the trip. We may carpool to other locations in the park. Dress for the weather (mornings are chilly) and bring your own binoculars for the best experience. Please note that a day pass or vehicle pass is required to park at this location. If this is a barrier for you, please contact lara@denveraudubon.org.

Estimated Distance .5-2 miles

Meeting place: Lake Loop Parking lot in Cherry Creek State Park
