Description
Let's explore some open space areas at Private Ken Caryl Ranch (and maybe nearby Deer Creek) in search of a variety of birds of the hogbacks and base of the foothills. We'll look for birds in two or three areas with total walking of about 2-3 miles on broad paths and single track trails. This is a nice opportunity to learn about some of our fall migrants and resident birds, too. Bring a snack and drink, good walking shores and dress in layers. Restrooms at the meeting place and probably one place after that. We will carpool from the meeting spot for short distances to our birding areas.
This trip is led by David Suddjian.
Meet at the northern (main) parking lot for South Valley Park along South Valley Road just east of Valley Parkway. We will carpool to another site from there.
