Stops are brief with very little walking thus not suitable for extended photo studies. Binoculars and scopes are helpful.  Bring your lunch or buy at the Safeway deli where we will eat lunch and discuss trip highlights.

Nesting Raptors of the Front Range

What’s in that nest? Follow Audubon Master Birders on a car caravan around the northern front range to view bald eagles, great horned owls, and red-tailed hawks tending their nests.  This is a car trip with stops along public roads. Stops are brief with very little walking thus not suitable for extended photo studies. Location: Safeway, 8375 N Rampart Range Road, Littleton, CO 80125

Meeting Place: Parking lot at Safeway in Roxborough Marketplace Shopping Center, 8375 N Rampart Range Road, Littleton, CO 80125. We will meet in the south section, behind the Safeway Pharmacy Drive-through. Take Wadsworth Blvd south from C470. Turn left through Waterton Canyon (passing Nature Center) and continue on Waterton Road over the South Platte and on to the shopping center on your right.
