Fall Migration Birding

Description

This is a co-sponsored trip with Denver Field Ornithologists. Registration is on the DFO page.  Click here to view the event registration page.

Join us for a morning of fall migration birding! This urban trail is good for migrants in the fall. Fall in general can be hit or miss on any given day, but this location has a possibility of finding something unusual passing through. The trail follows a riparian area along a creek and goes past a small pond and woods area. It is all easy walking on flat, paved sidewalks. Please note there are no restrooms here, but you can visit one of the stores such as King Soopers or Starbucks just to the south on the corner of Tower and Green Valley Ranch Blvd. We will be focusing on how fall plumage differs from the bright colors of spring. Please wear good walking shoes - we will be walking a little over 2 miles.

This is a Developing Birder Trip - These trips are especially welcoming to newer birders wanting to learn more, and questions are encouraged.

This trip is led by Carly Crow

Meet at First Creek Park in Green Valley Ranch. Go east off Tower Rd on Elmendorf Dr for 2 blocks. Park on the street across from the park.
