Join a hands-on learning experience that explores Colorado’s ecosystems—and discover how you can help protect them. Through expert-led classes and field experiences, you’ll build your nature knowledge and gain the confidence to take action in your community.
What You’ll Gain
You'll gain foundational knowledge of Colorado’s wildlife and ecosystems, with hands-on learning, covering the following topics:

Birds
-
Reptiles and Amphibians
-
Fish
-
Geology
-
Plants
-
Pollinators
-
Community Science
Your Commitment
To complete the program, participants will:

Complete all 5 classes (approximately 30 hours total)

Commit to taking at least 1 action to protect birds, other wildlife, and their habitats.

This could include: volunteering with Denver Audubon, adding your bird sightings to eBird, planting native plants, participating in a Christmas Bird Count, etc.

Cost & Registration
Cost: $300. Includes all classes, field trip, expert instruction, digital materials, and access to future volunteer opportunities. Scholarships are available. We believe cost should never be a barrier.
