NEW Birding Insights Adult Workshops – “Drumroll Please, Woodpeckers of the Front Range”
Saturday, March 18, 9am-noon
Join us for our FIRST EVER, Birding Insights workshop designed to help you delve more deeply into the lives of the beautiful birds of Colorado. Woodpeckers are active and valuable members of our Front Range bird population and though sometimes considered a pest, we at Audubon like to think of them as worthy of appreciation! Learn more about these birds, especially the Northern Flicker, a woodpecker who loves to dine on the carpenter ants at the Audubon Nature Center. One Audubon member set up a nest box with a video cam to view the development of five fledglings. She will share her success story, as well as photos and footage from this sneak peek at the life of the Northern Flicker.
Meeting Place: Audubon Nature Center at Chatfield, 11280 S. Waterton Rd., Littleton, CO 80125
Leader: Jamie Simo, Audubon Master Birder and ASGD Staff
Registration required. ASGD Members $20.00, non-members $25.00 per person.
