Description

One of the best way to see birds up close is to simply sit and let them come to you. This practice is known as bird sitting. On Thursday, July 24 from 7:30 am to 9:00 am Denver Audubon will host a bird sit in the shade of our beautiful hummingbird garden at the Kingery Nature Center. Don Hall, a Denver Audubon Master Birder and his wife, Barbara will serve as guides for the sit. While observing the birds and other wildlife Don will be talking about the different hummingbirds that call the front range their home and how to encourage them to visit your yard. Coffee and tea and chairs will be provided.

This outing is accessible to those with limited mobility; the walkway and trails are gravel. Restrooms are on-site pit toilets.

Location: Denver Audubon Kingery Nature Center, 11280 Waterton Rd. The Butterfly Garden is located off the main path from the parking lot, just West of the smaller building.
