Description
Did you know that spending just 20 minutes outside can reduce stress and anxiety, lower blood pressure, and boost your immune system?
Join Denver Audubon to unwind after work and connect with birds, their habitats, and like-minded nature lovers in our urban and suburban oases. Led by Denver Audubon volunteers, we'll focus on enjoying the birds and their behavior, learning about different habitats, and how to find and identify birds by sight and sound. All are welcome to join, but pre-registration is strongly encouraged.
This outing is appropriate for all ability levels and ages. Families are welcome, but children under 16 should be accompanied by an adult. Beginners and experts birders alike are encouraged to attend!
Wear appropriate clothing for the weather and comfortable footwear, and bring water, snacks, sunscreen, bug spray, etc. Please bring your own binoculars for the best experience!
Meeting Location: Sloan's Lake Park, east parking lot at Utica and 17th Ave
Parking: Lot and additional street parking
Restrooms: Port-a-potties are available at the meeting spot as well as dispersed throughout the walk.
Accessibility: Trails are flat and paved or packed gravel; accessible parking is available. A few steps exist with alternate routes.
