From farm to nature, the Audubon Nature Center at Chatfield has a diverse and rich history including agriculture, the Colorado railroad, ventures in the space program, and finally a wildlife destination. The Audubon Nature Center at Chatfield is named for John James Audubon, the dominate wildlife artist of the United States in the early 19th century. Join the Roxborough Historical Society and the Audubon Society of Greater Denver for a unique and interactive journey of this little known Nature Center at the south end of Chatfield State Park.
