Walk along the South Platte River exploring ponds, riparian forests, and other habitats for resident and migrant birds as the season dictates. We always have a surprise! This is a great opportunity to learn about the birds of the Denver area and recommended for beginners.

(Walk the Wetlands begins at 8am April through September, and at 9am November through March)

Walk along the South Platte River exploring ponds, riparian forests, and other habitats for resident and migrant birds as the season dictates. We always have a surprise! This is a great opportunity to learn about the birds of the Denver area and recommended for beginners. Dress for the weather. Bring binoculars, field guides, water and a snack.

BBFGWS,** (a scope and field guide if you have them); We can lend you binoculars and field guides if you don’t have them

Activity level: Some of the trails are narrow and moderately steep for a few feet. Elevation 5430 ft.
