    • PLEASE NOTE: You must register for this field trip (limit: 15 people) and complete the liability form when you register. Walk-up or impromptu participants will not be allowed. Other requirements are described below.

Female Bird Day was founded in 2020 by the Galbatross Project. A group of women came together in 2019 while participating in the World Series of Birding and realized there was an unconscious bias against female birds.
Female Bird Day was created to dismiss the myth that female birds are duller, quieter, and less behaviorally complex than their male counterparts.
During this walk, we will focus on identifying female birds around the Denver Audubon Nature Center, creating a list of better ways to identify female birds and celebrating our findings with the hashtag #FemaleBirdDay on social media!

    • COVID Guidelines: We will follow the current guidelines for the county where the program takes place.
