Location

Description
Join us for an early summer walk through the unique habitats – scrub oak, cliffs, prairie, and riparian forest – of the beautiful Fountain Valley Trail and Roxborough’s stunning red rocks. We will look and listen for the many summer arrivals, as well as year-round residents. We hope to see swifts, swallows, flycatchers, bluebirds, jays, wrens, as well as warblers, sparrows, goldfinches, and raptors. We may see the black-headed grosbeak, lazuli bunting, gray catbird, or the elusive ovenbird. This trip is for all levels of birders, and beginners are especially welcome. Easy 2.4 mile hike.
Leaders: Bea Weaver and Pam Zimmer, Audubon Master Birders
