Description
Join us at Heritage Lakewood Belmar Park for our summer speaker series, which will take place on the third Thursday of the month from June through September. Doors open at 6 PM with free bites and drinks provided! Our second speaker is the renowned Scott Rashid.
Scott is the Director of the Colorado Avian Research and and Rehabilitation Institute (CARRI), where he researches Northern Pygmy-Owls, Northern Saw-whet Owls, Barn Owls, Northern Goshawks, Rosy-finches, Hummingbirds and corvids, including Clark's Nutcrackers and American Crows. He rehabilitates injured birds of all types, with the exceptions of waterfowl and shorebirds. Scott has been passionate about owls ever since the early 1980s and has been involved in wild bird banding and rehabilitation for many years. He has authored several books about owls and goshawks and is also a skilled artist!
