Description
This is a continuing Birds Plus+ series where we will practice a growing hobby in DFO and now Denver Audubon - nature journaling. Nature journaling is the practice of recording your observations in nature with illustrations and written content. A more in-depth description and examples of nature journaling can be found here: https://johnmuirlaws.com/nature-journaling-starting-growing/.
Join us for an evening at Walden Ponds! We will meet at the main parking lot where we will start our time together with a walk, weather allowing, to observe birds, plants, and any other wildlife we encounter. Following our walk we head back to our cars to grab our chairs and drawing supplies to "set up shop" around the ponds. I will be providing lose instruction on how to draw birds and landscapes from your observations using various art mediums (pencils, paints, etc), but you will be working independently for the majority of the time. This trip will require only a little walking, but will require more supplies than a normal DFO trip. In addition to your optics, you will need to provide your own journal or drawing paper and drawing or painting supplies. Art skills and birding skills of all levels are welcomed!
