Description

Enjoy a beautiful mountain park with species such as Western and Mountain Bluebird, Plumbeous and Warbling Vireo, Cordilleran and Hammond's Flycatcher, Western Wood-Pewee, Olive-sided Flycatcher, Green-tailed Towhee, Cassin's Finch, Yellow-rumped Warbler and Western Tanager. We'll walk up to three miles at a relaxed pace on single track trails and a dirt road with a moderate elevation gain. Restroom at the trailhead only. Bring binoculars, snacks, and water. We can carpool to the park from the meeting spot.

This trip is led by David Suddjian and Judy McKeon.

Meeting spot: Meet at the Stegosaurus parking lot just south of I-70, exit 259. Drive under the freeway to the second left turn. The parking lot is at the base of the Hogback, near the Hawk Watch location.
