Description

The Denver Audubon Community Naturalist Training is a one-of-a-kind adult training program highlighting the plants, animals, and ecosystems of the Colorado Front Range over the course of 12 months. Topics of study include geology, botany, astronomy, ecology, wildlife rehabilitation, mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, insects, fish and conservation in Colorado.  Classes for the 2021-2022 year-long program will be held one to two Saturdays per month, with a few breaks in between (December, May, and July).  In-person field trip opportunities include Loveland Pass, Echo Lake, Genesee Mountain Park, Red Rocks Park, South Valley Park, Dinosaur Ridge, Lamb Spring Archaeological site, and the Audubon Center at Chatfield.

Field trip locations are mostly easy to moderate flat trails, though arrangements can be made if additional accessibility assistance is needed.
